The “Trifle the easy one” is called so because it is really easier to knit than its predecessor.
What should you be able to do? Knit and purl stitches and how to work short rows.
The two versions differ in the details, version 1 plays with the transparency of mohair in the two halves, one side single thread knitted on the other side double thread knitted.
