Trigo is Spanish for wheat. The origin of the name comes from the simple stitch combination of knits and purls. Together they create this cozy texture that reminds us of wheat stalks.

The Trigo Scarf is a perfect spring and early fall scarf and you can make it with only one skein of yarn. We start at one end increasing to the desired width. The center part of the scarf is knit straight and we finish with decreases to end with the same number of stitches than we started with.

The pattern is written in US standard terms and includes instructions for 3 different sizes. However, you can accommodate the width and the length to your preference.

It is recommended for beginner knitters.

SUGGESTED YARN:
DK (3) weight yarn like Fiber Fever DK or any DK yarn that meets gauge.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES:
US 7 / 4.5mm, straight or circular. If using circulars, choose a cable length that is comfortable for you.

GAUGE:
24 stitches x 25 rows in 4” / 10cm in stitch pattern, knit in US 7 / 4.5mm needles flat and wet blocked.

El pañuelo Trigo obtiene su nombre de la combinación de puntos de derecho y revés que nos recuerda a las espigas de trigo.

Este pañuelo es perfecto para los primeros días de la primavera y finales del otoño y solo necesitas un ovillo de hilo ligero de 100 g para hacerte una o incluso dos. El pañuelo se comienza tejiendo por uno de sus extremos, incrementando los puntos hasta el ancho preferido. La parte central se teje en recto y se termina con disminuciones para acabar como habíamos empezado.

El patrón incluye instrucciones para hacer 3 tamaños. Sin embargo, puedes customizar tu pañuelo a tus gustos o a tu hilo disponible.

Este patrón está recomendado para principiantes.

HILO RECOMENDADO:
DK (3) o hilo ligero.

AGUJAS RECOMENDADAS:
4,5 mm, rectas o circulares. Si se usan circulares, elige un cable cuya longitud sea cómoda para trabajar.

MUESTRA:
24 puntos x 25 vueltas en 10 cm - 4” en el punto de el pañuelo tejido con agujas de 4,5 mm en recto y bloqueado.
