Trille Top
Worked with 2 strands together and in garter stitch, here’s a quick knit for a summer essential, or a layering piece for any occasion: our Trille Top. The Trille Top is worked flat and sideways, with a scooped neck and armhole shaping, and sewed together at the center back. Shoulder straps are worked separately as I-cords from stitches picked up from the top edge.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL)
Finished measurements: Full length: approx. 42 (44, 46, 49, 52) cm 16½ (17¼, 18, 19¼, 20½)“; length from underarm to bottom edge: approx. 30 (32, 34, 36, 39) cm 11¾ (12½, 13½, 14½, 15¼)”; bust circumference: approx. 72 (82, 82, 94, 102) cm 28¼ (32¼, 32¼, 37, 40¼)“
Guidance on choosing a size: please note that the Trille Top is a high stretch garment, designed with an intended negative ease of about 10-15 cm 4-5” to take into account that the finished fabric will stretch to fit standard measurements
Yarn: 2 strands together of Knitting for Olive Pure Silk or Cotton Merino or Merino (250 m 273 yd per 50 g 1.8 oz), fingering-weight yarn; 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) balls
Sample is in size S in Knitting for Olive Pure Silk, Lamb’s Ears colorway
Needles: 5 mm / US8 circular or straight needles, and two 5 mm / US8 double-pointed needles, or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: 18 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm 4” in garter stitch using 5 mm / US8 needles
