Trinitas is a triangular shawl, worked from the top down.

The 4-ply version has been designed with stripes in two contrasting or toning colours but it can be worked in a single colour if preferred.

The laceweight version was worked using a gradient mini-skein set but it could also be made in a single colour or stripes.

The design features a variety of lace patterns and a pretty edging of arches which can be blocked into points.

Both versions include optional extra sections which can be added to make a larger shawl - note this will require additional yarn in each case.

Finished sizes:
4-ply: Back neck to hem 95 cm (37.5 inches) deep, top edge 170 cm (67 inches) wide
Laceweight: Back neck to hem 102 cm (40 inches) deep, top edge 176 cm (69 inches) wide

Many thanks to my wonderful testers, Karen Whittaker and Naomi Whitelaw.

One or two people have had a little difficulty getting the correct number of chsps after Row 29. The instructions are correct - but this may help with understanding them:

You should have 3 groups of (2dc, 3ch, 2dc) above the 4tr block for Row 27, and then on Row 28 you work into the 3chsps between the 2dcs.

At the end of Row 29 you should have 17 chsps before the corner, and at the end of Row 30 you should have 18 chsps. Check that on Row 29 you’re worked the “5ch, 1dc in each of next two 3chsp” correctly, as you shouldn’t be working a chsp between the two 1dc here (the 5ch isn’t in a bracket with the 1dc). That should then give you the right number of chsps to work Rows 30 and 31 correctly.
