This lacy crescent shawl was designed in collaboration with Cat & Sparrow Fibres, for their Muse and Silken Sock yarn bases. The sheen of the silk in these yarns plays beautifully off the lace for a delicate summer shawl with lovely drape.

If you would like to order a yarn and pattern kit, they are available from both the Australian and U.K. stores:

Alternatively, any one skein of lace weight (2ply), fingering weight (4ply), or even DK (8ply) in solid, variegated, speckled or gradient yarn will be a great choice for this project as the pattern is written such that it is very easy to adapt.

The pattern is both written and charted with stitch counts throughout. Notes are provided for how to modify size, and yarn usage information is also given.

Yarn
1 skein Cat & Sparrow Muse yarn 350m/383yd 100g (samples both used 90g in col. Iceberg and col. Autumn Leaves).

Approx. 20 sts to 10 cm over lace using 4mm needles (after blocking). This will vary based on yarn choice.

Needles & Notions
Pair of 4mm (US 6) and 4.5mm (US 7) needles. I like to use an 80cm circular needle set but straight are fine also.

2 stitch markers.
