I’ve wanted to use the Big X stitch in a shawl pattern for a long time now. I finally got to sit down and work on it. I like how the taller stitches make the rows grow a little bit faster!

This pattern is made from the top down. The Big X stitch is a little complicated, but once you figure it out, you will think it is easy. This pattern works with any size yarn, color-changing, variegated, or solid color. I used Coffee Shop yarn by Premier.

My finished shawl is 73” across the top and 35” tall to the center point.
