Skills: Basic knit, purl and decreases (k2tog), working in the round.
Yarn: Stunning String Studio’s Legacy Worsted (100% superwash Merino, 215 yds (197 m), 100 grams); MC: 1 skein Charcoal; CC: 13 yds Flirty Bikini. Or any comparable worsted weight yarn.
Needles:
Hat: US 5 (3.75 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needle (longer if using Magic Loop); or size required to obtain gauge.
Mitts: US 4 (3.50 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular needle (longer if using Magic Loop); or size required to obtain gauge.
Gauge:
Hat: 18 sts and 24 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in unblocked stockinette stitch.
Mitts: 20 sts and 28 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in unblocked stockinette stitch. Be sure to check your gauge for proper fit and yarn usage.
Sizes:
Hat: Child (18”), Small (20”), Medium (22”), Large (24”) head size (inches around head).
Mitts: Child (6.5”), Small (7”), Medium (7.75”), Large (8.5”) hand size (inches around palm).
Other: 2 Stitch Markers, waste yarn.
