This lacy scarf/stole can be made as long as you like as the edging is attached in the usual Shetland manner. The focal stitch is quite an unusual one that looks wonderful knitted in lace weight (as seen here) or in fingering or sport weights. The edging highlights the focal stitch in a way that shows it off to its finest.

You’ll enjoy making and wearing this scarf/stole. The finished size of the one in the sample is: This scarf/stole is 14 1/2 inches wide and 71 inches long.

It will certainly become one of the most versatile garments in your closet, so you can be sure that it will be worn (and admired) often.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

The pattern is both written out and charted.

It is knit using Helen’s Lace by Lorna’s Laces, and requires under one hank.

This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood, who can be reached at: rkwood16@ gmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Helen’s Lace by Lorna’s Laces.
