Tuilë was the first season of the year in the Reckoning of Rivendell in the Tolkien legendarium. (Yes, I’m a Tolkien nut!) The season lasted from April 8 to May 31. The word is the Quenya word for Spring, the Sindarin name was Ethuil. The elegant buds of this wrap/scarf is certainly something that is appropriate for the season – and the jagged stripes are reminescent of dandelion leaves.
This is a wide scarf or small wrap that can be used from early autumn to late spring. It is thick enough to be warming in wintertime, yet the lacework makes it airy enough to be used in spring or autumn as well.

The wrap/scarf is worked in double knitted lace. Experience with lace knitting and double knitting is recommended for this pattern.

I have used Garnstudio Drops Delight in colorways 08 (green/beige) and 15 (turquoise/burgundy/beige), 2 skeins of each colorway, but the pattern should work well with any fingering weight yarn.
