1. lilac (pink, white or yellow) for the tulip bud
2. green for the tulip stem and leaves
3. red for the heart

• marker (thread of contrasting color)
• crochet hook size 1.75 mm (US 5 or 6) or size appropriate to yarn used
• wire or wooden skewer for reinforcement inside the stem
• needle
• scissors Optional:
• wire cutters
• duct tape (I use a medical patch)
