Tulip Kids' Mittens
The idea behind these kids’ mittens is maximum warmth and simplicity combined with the traditional Lithuanian knitting technique and pattern of the tulip (you may also call it a version of a lily).
The thumb is knitted in one color and has no increases for gusset. You may introduce extra colors for the cuff from your left over yarn stash. You may also use the same size of needles from cast-on to bind-off.
