I wanted to design a fun little shortie sock with an interesting lacy ruffle at the cuff. In the spring and summer it is so fun to have a bit of flare peeking out of your sneakers. The top ruffle reminds me of tulips and how when they start to appear you know it is truly spring.

This pattern is designed for magic loop, where needle 1 will hold top of foot stitches and needle 2 will be the back of foot and heel stitches. This sock is knit toe-up with a fleegle heel, then it is finished off with a fun lace chart.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

Actual sock circumference: 6 (6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9)”

To Fit: 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10)” around ball of foot. (You want your sock to have about 10% negative ease around and 10% negative ease for length.)

Yarn: 50-65g fingering weight yarn (200-300 yds) (Sample uses 40g of Hedgehog Fibers Sock Yarn ‘Potluck’ in size 5). This sock would look great in solid, tonal, speckled or variegated yarns.
