Introduction
In this pattern the tulip motif dominates the entire hat. In bloom they decorate the first tier of the tam. The top depicts the pistil and includes the decreases at a regular interval.
I used 12 colours for this hat. You can buy a special Tulip Tam Kit at the gorgeous Dutch yarn shop De Afstap online, or either browse in your stash to achieve the same palette, or knit the surprise pattern I included for knitters with leftover yarn.
