Row by row written pattern - no chart

Tulips in Spring is an aran/worsted weight ear warmer headband. The cable pattern reminds me of tulips. Here in Ireland early tulips can begin to bloom in March, so that is where the name comes from.
The pattern is a 14-row repeat and with just 4 rows of containing cable stitches. The pattern is very easily remembered once you have repeated it a couple of times.
The width of this headband is approximately 4 - 4.5 inches/10 - 11.5 cm. I used Soft Donegal which is an aran weight yarn (4”/10 cm) for one of my samples. For the other sample I used two strands of DK weight yarn held together (4.5”/11.5 cm).

Tapestry needle
Soft Donegal by Studio Donegal or any aran/worsted weight yarn (80 – 100m)
or two stands of DK held together (160 – 200m)
