Tully is sweet, soft and loves to play! An adorable little tiger ready for the world.

Tully the Tiger is an intermediate amigurumi (crochet) pattern written in English using US (American) terminology. The pattern includes detailed instructions in an easy to follow layout but a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi is essential.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Tully is approx. 13cm tall (5 inches).

You will need:

  • 2.5mm hook/C-2 (US)
  • 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted, less than 50g in ORANGE, BLACK, CREAM and PINK
  • 8mm safety eyes
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Polyester toy stuffing
  • Stitch marker (optional)

Notes:

  • Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.

  • Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.

  • I’ve used the following yarns: o ORANGE = Ricorumi DK by Rico Design in col. 070 o BLACK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 402 Pure Black o CREAM = Creative Cotton by Rico Design in col. 002 o PINK = Creative Cotton by Rico Design in col. 004

  • I have used plastic safety eyes but you may choose to embroider the eyes. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
