Explore some simple Tunisian stitches to create a beautiful, functional baby or lap blanket. I wanted to experiment with two colours of yarn and design something that was relatively straight forward, so that I could enjoy the rhythm of the stitches without constantly referring to the pattern. I set myself the challenge of using only basic Tunisian stitches for the body of the blanket: Tunisian lattice stitch, Tunisian knit stitch, Tunisian simple stitch and Tunisian honeycomb. The corner of the blanket is turned using a simple increase. I used Scheepjes Stone Washed in Turquoise and Coral. The size can be easily changed - make more rows of any section to create a larger blanket, but you would need more yarn.
