The Play With Color” was developed to enjoy the chance to play with color. The Sweet Roll’s to use in this project can be any color of Sweet Roll can be used.

Control the Color: The first Sweet Roll, Lavender Swirl, is used in the order pulled from the inside. Work the color until you notice the color change is coming, you will want to cut the yarn ahead of the color change to get clean color changes. Then, use the complementary color of Pink to do the mesh section. Then use the second Sweet Roll, Birthday Cake Pop, by pulling the colors out and cut them. They will be worked in this order: purple, rose, and then white (speckle).

This asymmetric shawl is constructed by adding one extra stitch at the beginning of the forward pass. The placement of this extra stitch will create and nice finish edge. We will mimic this style at the cast off too, with a neat finishing technique. And you will learn a new stitch called the mesh stitch for a lace panel in the middle of the shawl.
