Welcome to the third of our Ribbed Dishcloth Series! We featured a Crochet ribbed dishcloth and before that, it was a Knit ribbed dishcloth. This week we are continuing the series with our Tunisian Crochet Ribbed Stitch Dishcloth.

Tunisian Crochet is a combination of knitting and regular crochet and many of the stitches resemble those of knitting. The ribbed stitch is no exception! Just as in knitting, this stitch is a combination of 2 purl stitches and 2 knit stitches.

This is a wonderful stitch if you aren’t a knitter since it looks almost exactly like knitting. This is a great example of how you can essentially achieve the same look in two different methods.

Don’t tell, but I actually prefer this ribbed stitch for a dishcloth in Tunisian Crochet over a knitted one! The denser material is great for washcloths and dishcloths and it gives the ribbed stitch a much more uniform look.
