My sister has breast cancer, the other sister is suffering from cervical cancer. I live 2000 miles away and cannot help as much as I would like, so I made them Chemo Caps. With no hair to help keep them in place, they need to be snug. Since they live in Arizona, snug doesn’t always feel so well, especially with the summer heat in full force. So I have designed a new cap for them. Knit in one piece from the center of the forehead out and then dividing in two “tails” that can be tied as tight or loose as needed, the cap will be able to adapt to whatever their needs of the day might be.

Pattern is a ribbed cap with “tails” that wrap around the head and ties on the side to tighten or loosen as desired. Judy’s Magic Cast on is used for a seamless look in the middle of the cap and worked in one piece until it separates in two and stitches are decreased for the “tails”. German Short Rows are used to help shape the sides of the cap.
