This slouchy hat, with its lace panels that spiral toward the crown, brings to mind the turbo shell. Turbo Hat has just the right amount of slouch while still fitting snugly over the ears to keep you nice and warm. Originally designed to show off handpainted yarns, it looks just as wonderful in a solid, tonal, or heathered yarn.

Level: Adventurous beginner to Intermediate.

Skills required: Long-tail cast on, basic increases and decreases

Instruction type: Entirely written, no charts.

Yarn: Turbo requires about 180 yards of worsted or aran weight yarn.

Size: The garter stitch band is very stretchy. It measures 19” unstretched but will fit up to 23” when worn.

Many thanks to my testers for their feedback.
