This sweater does not need much consideration, it is knitted in one piece in garter stitch from sleeve to sleeve, the construction is very easy. Use any worsted weight yarn that you think you will like to wear on your body.
I made this to fit me, 38 happens to be my size. Garter stitch is stretchy, it might fit other people as well. If you want it to be longer, cast on some extra stitches when the pattern says to do so.
