This pattern all started with a variegated yarn I found. I love corrugated ribbing and I thought this yarn would look interesting poking out between the knit columns. I wanted to give the pattern a bit more interest factor so I decided to change it up a little bit. This made me think of disruption which is how I came up with the name turbulence. Every stripe in the pattern gets disrupted and broken, creating nice blocks of colour.

I added the tassel on a whim. I get bored of pom poms but I like hats to have something on the top that adds a little fun. I’m always trying to think of new hat accessories.

Because there is colourwork throughout the entire hat, it’s essentially double thick, making it perfect for the cold winter months. It’s also long enough to cover the ears to protect them against chill winds.

Hat is available in Small, Medium, and Large, 19”, 22”, 24”

If you decide to make this little hat I hope you have just as much fun making it as I did :)
