From book’s pattern description:

Turbulent swirling liquids form interesting patterns. The cable on the center front of this pullover is loosely based on a photo I found of fluid rushing into a funnel, entering from the narrow end. The gently curved low-lying neckline and the cable pattern highlight (without accentuating) good cleavage. The lightweight worsted yarn worked at the relatively small gauge of 5.5 stitches to the inch contributes to its flattering fit.
