Turenki socks are modeled after a beautiful building at the railway station in the small town of Turenki. The wooden building has decorations forming a net of rhombus shapes that were perfect for colourwork.

Construction:

  • Cuff-down, in the round
  • Heel flap
  • Grafted toe

The socks start with ribbing done in one colour to ensure a stretchy beginning and the colourwork pattern ends a little before the toe decreases so that you can add as much length to the foot as you wish. Cuff pattern can be repeated for a longer cuff.

For yarn substitution, the gauge works best in heavy fingering or sport weight yarns.
