I’m a progressive who lives in Texas. I tend to knit dishcloths when I’m stressed out—they’re small projects that are a great way to play with color and techniques outside of my usual preferences. I particularly love mosaic knitting. It’s so hard to put down—you always want to knit one more row to see how the pattern will turn out!

I wrote my first pattern because it’s time to TURN TEXAS BLUE! 100% of the proceeds from this pattern (minus any expenses associated with hosting the pattern, etc.) will be donated to the ACLU of Texas.

This pattern contains a full chart. The first few rows of the chart are also written out to get you started. If this is your first mosaic knitting pattern, congratulations! The pattern contains a brief explanation of what mosaic knitting is and how it works, but if you should find yourself in need of more detailed help, there are numerous tutorials available online and in print publications. Some resources that I have found useful in this arena include: Barbara Walker, Interweave Knits, and KnitPicks.
