These boot toppers are worked flat and then grafted together. The stitches on the sides are picked up with US 4 16” needles and worked in the round in a 1x1 rib. You can either wear the boot toppers peeking out from the top of your boots, or fold them over your boots for a decorative cuff!
When knitting flat, slip the first stitch of every row, that way it is easier to pick up for the ribbing.
