Alright, beginners! If you haven’t figured out already, us hookers tend to make items to give away and neglect to keep any of our items. This Turtleneck Cowl is a perfect excuse to make something for yourself while you continue to improve your pattern-reading skills. We still have quite a bit of cool weather ahead of us, and on blustery days, there’s nothing cozier than a cowl!

This pattern uses only ch, sc, and hdc, but it introduces the BACK LOOP ONLY (BLO) technique. Don’t worry; I’ve included a photo tutorial! This technique gives you that ribbed look along the top and bottom of the cowl and can make even a very simple pattern look more advanced.

Once you learn the basic pattern repeat, this cowl doesn’t take a lot of focus to work up. It’s perfect for nights snuggled up in fuzzy socks with a good movie!
