Turvalonkero on keskosvauvoille tarkoitettu ensilelu. Pikkuiset kädet tarttuvat mieluusti keskoskaapin johtojen sijasta lonkeroon, joka tuo vauvalle turvaa.

Langaksi sopii puuvilla, tai pesunkestävä tekokuitu- tai sekoitelanka. Langasta ei saisi irrota nöyhtää.

Jos lanka ei riitä kuuteen lonkeroon, käy viisilonkeroinen varmasti yhtä hyvin. Keskonen ei laske lonkeroita.
