My Turvie shawl is named after the hill in Shetland which is located behind the house that both my granny and my mother was born in. It is in a beautiful place called Sandvoe.

I have been teaching Shetland lace in person and online. So I wanted to design something in cobweb yarn that could be used in a class and part of a KAL. Or for those of you who just want to knit it.

If you would like to join then please check out my website for details.

The shawl is on a garter base and constructed in 4 parts: 2 boards (borders/ends), which are joined to the centre panel and then a lace edging, knitted on afterwards.

Finished size: length 190cm/75in & width 80cm/31in
