In Shetland a peat cutter is called a tushker. The pattern in these mittens made me think of the neat stacks made with the tushker.

The pattern Tushker contains charts, supplemented with written instructions in Dutch and English.

These mittens are knitted with Uradale DK. Yarn can be purchased at Uradale Yarns

Amount of yarn needed (DK):
50 g Main colour
25 g of each of the other colours

The mittens are in sizes ladies S/M and ladies L or men M but can be made longer/shorter by knitting a few rows more or less on the hand and/or thumb.

(This pattern was previously available in my Ravelry store as Malcum and Mareoun mittens)
