Tuti is a Malayan Tapir. She loves strolling through the forest, eating leavy greens and taking muddy baths. This pdf pattern is designed for intermediate to advanced crocheters.

SIZE: The amigurumi tapir will measure about 2.5 inches / 7cm tall and 4.3 inches / 11cm long, if using the recommended yarn and hook size. You could however up or down scale her by using a different yarn weight and hook size.

SKILL LEVEL: This pattern is suitable for crocheters with some amigurumi experience, as well as seasoned amigurumi enthusiasts.
You can simplify the pattern by using one color only. You could use it to crochet a brown South American Tapir.

CONSTRUCTION: The pattern requires little sewing. It is crocheted bottom to top, starting with the legs. Legs and body are crocheted in one go and the neck is crocheted on. Only the head, ears and tail are sewn on.

INSTRUCTIONS: This downloadable pdf pattern has detailed step-by-step instructions that are accompanied by high quality photos of the process.
The pattern includes photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring and invisible decreases in single crochet.

DK or light worsted yarn (3) in white and dark gray. (I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Champagne and Granite Grey)

5mm safety eyes
Fiberfill
Black embroidery floss
