Short Overview of the Piece

The Tutti Frutti Headband is a quick knit that provides both meditative stockinette knitting and some fun when working the middle part. It fits head-size approx.: 21 1/4”/22” (54/56 cm). The headband is double layered which means that it is worked in the round on circular knitting needles (so it looks like a tube) and in the end, the cast-on edge is sewn together with the bind-off edge. The decorative part of the headband consists of cables and bobbles on the outside and the 1x1 rib stitch on the inside. All the techniques required to make the headband are described below. My headband was knitted using the continental method.
