There is not specific gauge, as this is intended for more than one model of Cinderella doll, provided it will fit.

1.9 mm steel hook is also known as size 5 in steel hook. May need larger hook or extra stitches (extra stitches must be by even numbers only) for some sizes of fashion dolls.

Snaps suggested, but hook and eye closure can be used (not recommended).
