Founded in 1163, the Tvis Cistercian monastery was situated near the place where the Tvis River flows into the Storå River. Today, the area is still scenic, but only the old watermill and the cemetery remain in the village of Tvis – a name probably best known from handball, where the Tvis team is highly placed in the league.
The Tvis sweater is available in sizes for both men and women, with the only differences being the length of the body and sleeves. So desirable is the sweater that, if you don’t have one of your own, you may just have to “borrow” a Tvis sweater from someone else…

Tvis is knitted top down, with short rows used to raise the neckline, the yoke is worked in the round with raglan increases before the work is divided into body and sleeves.
Finally, Tvis is finished with a two-colour ribbing.
