These mitts are an easy to remember pattern and easily shortened or lengthened by stopping or continuing with the pattern. I used sock-weight yarn and number 2 DPN’s. You may change the yarn weight and the needle size and fiddle with size as you see fit. The ones pictured measure: 8-1/2” from bottom cuff to top cuff.
The vibrancy of this pattern relies on opposite coloring, as in light colors and dark colors. The pattern will note L for light and D for dark. In addition, I made sure the L color was pulled over the top of the D color, in the back, when changing colors as I created the stitches.
The use of the contrasting colors helped me to figure out the use of my hands/fingers when doing stranding work. It is great practice to learn what method works best for you.
This pattern makes a size small. You may increase your stitch count by 3’s in order to increase to the necessary size.
