This pattern is available for free.

A knitting and crochet pattern for a twiddle mitt (also called a twiddle muff).
Twiddle Mitts are useful for people living with dementia, as well as autistic people, or just for people who like to fiddle with something.
This pattern is good for using up lots of thicknesses and textures of yarn, as well as spare buttons, beads and any other tactile decorations.

Please note the photographs demonstrate how a knitted twiddle mitt can look if a variety of yarn textures and stitches are used, but it will work just as well using a the plain garter stitch pattern for the less experienced knitter.
