Whiteowlcrochetco. Twig Mittens

The Twig mittens have a classic cable design with a folded-hem wristband for warmth and a thumb gusset for that perfect fit! This pattern is knit from the wristband to the fingertips (bottom-up). Beginning with a provisional cast on you will knit a ribbed wristband twice the length required. The cast-on will then be unzipped and the wristband will be folded inward and joined with the last round to create what’s commonly known as a ‘folded hem’, or a wristband with two layers. From here, you will proceed into the cable-stitch pattern. Finally, you will decrease to close the mitten, using your tail to fasten off and finish. The left and right mitten cables are mirrored.
