These cosy socks are perfect for Autumn, wear them whilst you enjoy woodland walks crunching through the twigs and leaves, or cosied up in your favourite knitting spot. You can choose your favourite autumnal colours or create any colour palette you like. The cute little cables make each stripe a joy to knit and you’ll just keep wanting to get to the next one!

Yarn:
The pattern uses approximately 350yds/320m of fingering weight yarn in total. You can use as many different contrast colours as you like to create the socks, and each stripe will use around 4g of yarn across both socks.
The sample shown uses a mini skein set and a 100g skein of fingering weight yarn, both from Loom. The mini skein set named “A Cosy Home” contains 5 x 20g mini skeins of fingering weight yarn and the 100g skein shown is the “Rust” colourway (80% Merino, 20% nylon) (410yds/375m per 100g).

Recommended Needle Size:
2.5mm (US Size 1.5) or appropriate size to obtain gauge. I went up one needle size from my usual sock needle as the cabled pattern can make the fabric a slightly tighter fit. The pattern is written for the magic loop method, but can easily be adapted for using DPNs.

Gauge:
32 sts / 42 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch.

Sizes:
Small (Medium, Large). Length is customisable.
Finished Measurements:
Small – 56 stitches (7 inch circumference)
Medium – 64 stitches (8 inch circumference)
Large – 72 stiches (9 inch circumference)
