The Star Wars universe has always been special to our family and it was only a matter of time until a design inspired by the planet Tatooine, so central to the story, took shape. The twin suns setting over the sand dunes is an iconic image from the original movie and served as inspiration for this pattern. I hope knitting this project makes you smile and may the Force be with you!

This pattern is written and charted, and knit cuff/top down.

Yarn and notions:

Yarn: 100g fingering weight yarn (425 yards)
Variegated sample in Alley Cat Yarns, Smooth Sock (80% merino, 20% nylon)
Tonal sample in Tippy Tree Yarns, Tippy Sock (75% merino, 25% nylon)

Needles:
2.25 mm and/or 2.5 mm needles with a long cable for magic loop (see note below).
The cables tend to tighten the fabric slightly. Though these are few and far between, very tight knitters may wish to go up a needle size to 2.5 mm for the sand dunes section (or for the whole sock). I suggest regularly trying on your socks to ensure comfort and the best fit.

Other notions: stitch markers, cable needle if preferred, scissors, darning needle

Gauge: 8 sts = 1 inch / 2.5cm in stockinette

Large, 72 sts, finished circumference 9 inches/foot circumference approximately 9.5 in
