A complex leaf-motif lace vest, knitted bottom-up, as one continuous piece in one size, which could vary depending on your personal gauge. Stitch pattern inspired by and adapted from “Knitting Patterns Book 250” by Hitomi Shida, pg. 105; stitch # 213
One size: 36in-38in. chest, 21” back length, depending on gauge, yarn choice and needle size. One repeat of stitch pattern (34 sts/16 rows) is approx. 6.75 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall.

Vest begins as one flat piece for front and back, then is split for working Right front, then Left front and finally back. Shoulders are joined with 3-needle bindoff, and front edges are finished with 1X1 ribbing worked at the same time as the body.

Please swatch to see how this size will fit you! The lace is quite stretchy and can be blocked larger, and you can make it longer with more vertical repeats, though you might need more yarn.

If you need a larger size and seriously want to test-knit, please contact me and we can work on it together. I have personally knit the charts and worked it out for my size, but different sizes pose different design challenges…
