This hat is part of a collection of horticultural hats that combine my passion for plants with my knitting design. This one is inspired, not by a cultivated perennial, but by the dog roses and honeysuckle that twine and climb through the hedgerows.
It is knitted in the round, with an inner band, fold line then charted section. I used a variegated, hand dyed sock yarn form the main colour and a solid dark green for the contrast. It would work equally well with a solid pink or peach as the main colour.
