Despite the rumors, Twinkies don’t actually last forever…but these will! Crochet your own version of America’s favorite snack cake, smiley face optional. The image for the “Twinkles” wrapper (a little crochet parody for you) is included.

This is a quick and simple project. You should be comfortable crocheting in continuous rounds (a spiral) with the magic ring technique, and be familiar with basic embroidery techniques if you’d like to add a face.

Skill Level:
I’ve listed the difficulty level as “Easy +“ because there’s one stitch that may be unfamiliar to a beginning crocheter, but don’t worry—I provide instructions (with photos!) explaining how it’s done.
