The Twinkle Hat is an easy hat to knit, suitable for beginners. It is knit entirely in garter stitch from side to side using straight needles. The crown shaping is created with the use of short rows. This method is described in the pattern and is very simple to do. We used two strands of Berroco Flicker yarn held together to create a bulky weight yarn. Flicker is a very soft alpaca with wonderful stretch and excellent drape appropriate for a nice slouchy shaped hat.

Knitters must know how to cast on and knit. The pattern includes pictorial tutorials on how to shape the hat with the “short row” technique, and how to seam up the hat too.

You may get all the yarn and the pattern together in a Knit Café Knit Kit HERE
