Hello! Welcome to my first ever knitting pattern, the Twinkle Socks! I have been an avid sock knitter for 3 years now, and I especially love basic colorwork socks like these!

This cute colorwork pattern is a quick and super easy knit for any experienced sock knitter, and could be a great intro to colorwork for less experienced knitters! These socks are knit from the top down, starting with a basic 2x2 rib, a small stranded colorwork section, then continuing with my own basic sock pattern. I encourage you all to make your own modifications to make your own perfect socks (some of my testers did some really cool stuff!).

Sizing: 1 (2, 3) to fit a foot circumference of 8 (9, 10)in / 20.5 (22.75, 25.5)cm

Needles: 2.5mm (US 1.5) for the whole sock
This is my personal preferred needle for socks, but I know everyone has different preferences. Please used your preferred needle size/what is needed to get gauge

Yarn: Fingering weight 4ply sock yarn

Coast to Coast Yarn Co - Classic Sock, 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, 400yards/100g

  • 20g of contrasting fingering weight yarn

Using less than 20g of the contrast color, these could be great for using up any leftover bits and bobs from your sock yarn stash.
