TWINKLEBOUND
— a jumper that feels ready for adventure

It’s built from a clean, top down architecture; a stocking stitch yoke with structured increase panels, and sleeves shaped with integrated welts framed by contrast stocking stitch sections. These welts add crisp definition and a touch of engineered glamour. A 3D welt divides the yoke from the body, and sequins threaded through Magnifico introduce controlled sparkle — small twinkly bits of glimmer that catch the light without overwhelming the fabric.

The body and sleeves follow the same block built logic, finishing in neat 2×2 rib for balance. Three contrast yarns bring personality, especially Ewetopia from India — the home of my mother — adding a sense of connection, cultural warmth, and subtle sparkly shine. The result is modern, elegant, and quietly (or not so quietly!) romantic, with construction as precise as its shimmer.

 NEEDLES and NOTIONS
4mm double-pointed needles or 100cm circular needle (use magic loop method) for collar
4mm 50cm circular needle or 100cm circular needle (use magic loop method) for yoke
3.5mm 60cm circular needle for body
3.5mm double-pointed needles or 100cm circular needle (use magic loop method) for sleeves
sewing-up needle
Sequins - 19mm flat round (silver or gold discs): 210 255 : 300 : 350 : 390 : 450 : 480 : 540 : 580 : 620 approx.

 TENSION/GAUGE
20sts and 24rows to 10cm over stocking stitch on 4mm needles. Go up or down a needle size to obtain correct tension. The 4 mm needles are used to obtain the stated stocking-stitch gauge. The smaller needles are used for the body and sleeves to create a firmer fabric.

 ABBREVIATIONS

BOR: beginning of round | pm: place marker / slm: slip marker / m: marker
m1: pick-up yarn between left-hand needle and right-hand needle – do not twist, simple lift and k into it as you would a standard k st.
Cable cast-on: insert tip of right-hand needle between st on left-hand needle and 2nd st on needle. Wrap working yarn between needles (as if to knit). Draw out a loop between these 2 sts and place back on left-hand needle.
DPNs: double pointed needles,
yo: yarn over (one-stitch increase). Hold yarn at front, pass over needle to back. When working the yo on the next row:
• if the next st is a knit, keep yarn at back
• if the next st is a purl, bring yarn over needle to front
