Twirling Colors is a light and airy shawl perfect for summer evenings. It has a gentle, asymmetrical shape that drapes well.

The pattern is worked from side to side on the diagonal so it is easy to adjust the width to fit your style or the amount of yarn you have. You don’t have to use lace! It was made in sock weight as well as fingering during the testing phase and they all came out beautifully.

The gauge is not important. You’ll notice I used a very large hook for lace weight, it helped produce a very lacy material. As long as you are happy with the density and drape of your fabric, go for it.
