Gauge: Brim: 5 scblo rows by 6 sc stitches = 1”. Body: 3 dc rows by 4 dc stitches = 1”

If your tension is too tight, relax. The loops on your hook should all be the same size as your hook shaft. If you crochet too loosely, your stitches won’t look neat and uniform. The golden loop is the key!!

Here’s a great tip for obtaining gauge: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=97Vpxaf8wvk

Brim is worked as a long rectangle then joined together. Depending on the measurements of your head, you may need to add rows in the ribbed brim. Ribbing adds stretch!

Body is worked in the round. When joining, join at the top of the first stitch from previous round.

Ch 1 /Ch 2 at the start of each row / round does NOT count as a stitch.

Circumference fits adult size 18”- 22.”

Hat height = 8.5”
