Great Stash Buster!

About the Cap:

The cap is a “knock-off” of a commercial cap. The original uses three colors which are striped. Feel free to use just a single color as seen in the photo.

Every knit stitch on the cap, is twisted, causing a special effect. Twisting a stitch is easy—instead of inserting your needle in the front of the stitch, you insert it in the back of the stitch. When purling, purl in the usual fashion. This cap doesn’t use much yarn and is a great stash buster.

While this pattern describes a three-color and single color versions, the sky is the limit. You can switch colors as often as you wish. Let you creativity run wild!

The pattern has directions for Small and Medium sizes which start with a size #4 needle, then switches to a size #5.

Large and Extra Large cap sizes begin with a size #7 needle and switch to a size #8.

I hope you have fun knitting this cap.
