The Twisted Hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The brim is knit with the yarn held double, making it extra warm and cozy around the ears – without the extra layer of a folded brim. The body of the hat continues in a simple yet beautiful cable pattern using a single strand of yarn. You can choose to switch to a second color, as shown in the sample, or keep it monochrome for a more classic look.

Gauge
The gauge is measured after blocking.

• brim (yarn held double): 14 stitches x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”)
• cable pattern (one single strand of yarn): 17 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”)

• 5.5 mm (US 9) and 5.0 mm (US 8) DPN or circular needles

• Color A: 60 g / 135 m / 150 yards
• Color B: 40 g / 90 m / 100 yards
