While writing up the Pattern for “The Hamish” this pattern kept screaming to be written for people who don’t want an all-over cable pattern hat. It’s done with a little twist, as it’s knitted inside out, so most of the hat is knit, but you get the purl effect without the extra effort. You get to choose if you want the cable twist to the left, the centre, or the right, or if you sew the wee seam really tidy, you can slide it round to suit.

Recommended Yarn is Skeinz DK bases.. which are perfect yarn for this project.. get naked and dye your own… or any of the yarns in the Skeinz DK range will be perfect
